For this on-site role, the Quality Manager will have the exciting opportunity to oversee the quality management systems for our Aurora location.  You will maintain the quality and reliability of our compounds, products, processes, and services, act as the management representative for AS/IATF audits and ensure that our quality system is maintained at a level that assures our customer’s specifications are met or exceeded.  In addition, you will have the pleasure of managing the quality engineer and lab technicians. 

Primary responsibilities of the Quality Manager include:

  • Developing/implementing a quality program ensuring conformity of purchased material through final products meet or exceed specified quality standards.
  • Continuously improve process control through updates to the quality system in the area of SPC.
  • Meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
  • Prepare reports as required by customer, supervisor, or staff member.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement teams.
  • Lead the corrective action and NC activities, identify root-cause and ensuring corrective action is implemented and verified.
  • Assist in data collection and quantification to determine financial impact of results.
  • Support the process improvement efforts by providing know-how, methods statistical data and conceptual expertise to the teams.
  • Lead the internal audit effort for Trelleborg Sealing Profiles U.S. Inc. for AS/IATF as well as external vendor audits.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required – Engineering or Sciences discipline or Industrial Management preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably in automotive.
  • 3-5 years’ experience within the Quality profession.
  • In-depth knowledge of QMS systems (ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14001).
