Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Customer Line Site Services Manager to join our team based in Mobile, AL

The Customer Line Site Services Manager will oversee the maintenance of ground support equipment (GSE) and building facilities. Having a strong technical expertise in equipment maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of our customer line facilities.

The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities assemble the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. Your working environment:

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges:

  • Coordinate the maintenance and repair of ground support equipment

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues

  • Coordinate with vendors and external service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance

  • Ensure quantities for rate steps are correct per the Docks/Bay needs

  • Communicate with Fleet manager on current/future state of equipment

  • Ensure GSE is issued to station correctly

  • Ensure GSE is 5S

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the building facilities, including offices, working docks, and storage areas

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs, such as HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural integrity

  • Coordinate with contractors and service providers for repairs, renovations, and installations as necessary

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes

  • Ensure lighting and 400Hz systems are in working order as well as track and communicate ETA’s for repairs

  • Coordinate with facilities on additional office space equipment 

  • Manage inventory in coordination with the fleet manager for spare parts, tools  necessary for equipment maintenance and building repairs

  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations

  • Monitor progress of ordered material and ensure that purchase orders arrive on time

  • Communicate effectively with procurement staff to place orders in SAP and Click n Buy

  • Monitor order status and track progress throughout the procurement and fulfillment process

  • Address any issues or delays that arise during the ordering process and proactively find solutions

  • Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries and inventory levels

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of orders and expected delivery dates

Your boarding pass:

  • Bachelors degrees in facility management, airfield management, business administration, supply chain management or related field

  • 3-5 years experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance management, with a focus on ground support equipment and building facilities

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Proven ability to Prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast paced environment

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to equipment maintenance and building operations

  • Proficiency in using order management systems and software applications

  • G-Suite proficiency
