Responsibilities:

MTSI is seeking a Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support the Navel Sea Systems Command program in Huntsville, Alabama.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

Provide multi-domain model building and simulation expertise for sensors, weapon systems, and mission CONOPS development Support model and analysis tool software development, perform data acquisition, and conduct detailed analysis

About the Program:

NSWC provides acquisition engineering, in-service engineering and technical support for sensors, electronics, electronic warfare and special warfare weapons. NSWC also works to apply component and system-level product and industrial engineering to surface sensors, strategic systems, special warfare devices and electronic warfare systems. 

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with 5 – 10 years’ experience supporting modeling and simulation of sensor, weapon and/or threat systems.

Required Clearance:

Must have an active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

Capability to perform analysis to measure key system performance metrics and verify model behavior utilizing flight test data. Experience developing briefings and presenting analysis results to high-level government customers to help them in their decision-making processes. Capability to assume a leadership role during system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and other types of technical meetings. Previously supported a major defense acquisition program in a high-visibility environment with mission-critical responsibilities. Familiarity with aerodynamics concepts (, forces and resulting motion of objects through the air). Ability to apply engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems. Proven ability to author various types of project documentation. Willingness to mentor and provide advice to less experienced staff members.

Desired Skills:

Experience working with the AFSIM simulation framework is highly desired. Knowledge and experience with 6-DOF model development, Monte Carlo Analysis, and Physics-based model development Proven ability to perform hi-fidelity operational system analysis in order to quantify sensor, weapon system, and kill chain effectiveness and system survivability assessments. Master of Science degree in a technical discipline (, mathematics, physics).
