As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for the development and support of our Salesforce solution and integrated products. You will apply skills in the areas of software implementation and structured development, implementation methodologies, designing, building, testing, and implementing Salesforce, Boomi, and related platforms.

What you'll do:

  • Transform business requirements technical solutions across multiple platforms.

  • Manage the salesforce and integration development teams.

  • Consult with cross-functional internal teams on best practices and technical designs; including key members of the data integration and performance analytic teams.

  • Responsible for the Salesforce environment; maintenance, uptime, and data integrity.

  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Apply understanding of rental and sales process and how the sales team engages with the customer to develop efficiencies that are built into the process as well as the process with National Accounts and the RFQ process. Incorporates user feedback, defines requirements, builds, and test new features.

  • Understand the functional capabilities and limitations for out of the box functionality as well as custom code to optimize processes and provide recommendations for implementation utilizing best practices.

  • Develop and iterate on existing Salesforce interface components utilizing best practices.

  • Build on the existing assignment system for all Salesforce objects while maintaining full functionality and reporting for sales reps and external data integration points.

  • Stay current on Salesforce releases; advise organization on release schedule and associated business risks.

  • Build and support executive and sales reps needs and solutions for dashboards and reports.

  • Manage development vendors and partners as required. Research and recommend products and tools.

  • Provide direction and mentor staff to increase their ability to positively impact the business and achieve desired results.

  • Establish goals and assess performance in a timely manner.

  • Foster an atmosphere and environment of collaboration, teamwork and open communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Business preferred

  • 5-10 years of experience in Salesforce development

  • 2-5 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Salesforce technology - Fluent in Salesforce Lightning

  • Experience customizing object page layouts and profile based layout assignment

  • Experience with developing data models within Salesforce

  • Experience creating Junction Objects to maintain one-to-many relationships

  • Fluent in Apex with experience developing custom Apex Classes and Apex Triggers

  • Fluent in Salesforce Query and Search Language (SoQL and SoSL)

  • Firm understanding of Salesforce Governor limits, limit monitoring, and best-practices for limit-informed development

  • Experience developing Visualforce pages, Visualforce components and Customer Controllers

  • Understanding of UX and UI design principles in accordance with consistency in our current environment to identify and design a streamlined user experience that are consistent with processes and salesforce organization

  • Experience creating Custom Report Types and developing custom Reports and Dashboards

  • Software development experience in Java, Python, or MS VBA or Visual Basic .NET.

  • Desired skills in CSS, HTML, and/or PHP

  • Must hold active Salesforce Certifications as Salesforce Developer with preference for those who hold Advance Developer Certifications

  • Experience in Agile Methodology preferred

  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

  • Detail oriented, strong analytical, numerical, planning and reasoning abilities
