NHT Logistics, Inc. is a family-owned trucking and cold storage company located in Denver, PA. Join our team as we aim for excellence in everything we do, including transporting goods to the greater Mid-Atlantic region.   We are looking for a Fleet Mechanic to join our team who is able to work ONE of the following shifts each day, Monday through Friday:  noon to 8:00 pm, midnight to 8:00 am or 4:00 pm to midnight.
 
Purpose:  
The Fleet Mechanic position is responsible for truck and trailer repair and maintenance as directed by Shop Manager.  The Fleet Mechanic will be in complete support of and willing adherence to NHT’s mission, vision and core values and hold these standards as his/her own.
 
Responsibilities / Essential Functions:            
·         Be able to trouble shoot and repair problems related to electrical, mechanical, air and hydraulic systems
·         Evaluate equipment for safety issues
·         Learn proficiency in Emdecs Kona fleet management software
·         Provide detailed report of work performed and repairs made to equipment
·         Properly and safely use of tools
·         Safe use of lifting equipment and jack stands
·         Keep a clean and safe work environment
·         Adjust to changing work schedules and emergencies
·         Ability to work alone while in the shop
·         Learn new service, maintenance, and repair procedures
 
Education & Experience: 
·         High school diploma or GED / equivalent experience
·         Previous experience as a Mechanic
·         Possess a basic knowledge and skill set in diesel/trailer mechanics

Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions:
The Fleet Mechanic will have to spend possible long hours standing and possible heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.  NHT Logistics, Inc can be a busy facility, and the Fleet Mechanic may have to manage a number of projects at one time and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of other mechanics and the Shop Manager.  The Fleet Mechanic may find the environment to be busy, noisy and will need excellent organizational and time and stress management skills to complete the required tasks.
 
Work Hours:  Monday through Friday, noon to 8:00 pm, midnight to 8:00 am OR 4:00 am to midnight
