Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Animal Caretaker II for our Insourcing Solutions site in Hamilton, MT.
In the Animal Caretaker II role, you will be working in ABSL 2-4 facility environments to perform a variety of duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, routine preventative maintenance, and repair of caging materials and autoclaves.
Additional responsibilities include:
Maintaining cagewash and animal holding facilities in a clean and organized manner Monitoring, observation, and recording of research animals Animal husbandry duties to maintain animal health in varied environments Operating equipment and performing general housekeeping Receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supply orders Preparing and submitting all required written records, charts, logs, and inventories Work actively with customers to address requests, inquiries, and complaints Provide technical assistance when needed
Job Qualifications
The following are minimum requirements related to the Animal Caretaker II position:
High school diploma/GED Experience and/or training working with mechanical equipment preferred Some experience working with animals preferred Achievement of ALAT certification within one year of eligibility, and continued certification at the LAT level within six months of eligibilityAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted for the listed.
The pay range for this position is $24 USD per hour.
