We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Specialist to join our growing team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the LAN administrator by providing basic network administration support (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support). This role is also responsible for monitoring and acting upon IT events to enable higher availability of IT services and reduce the risks of IT service interruptions. In addition, this person will be responsible for providing time and cost savings by enabling more automated monitoring processes instead of manual labor methods. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinating events including security alerts with responsible support teams for analysis and actions. Proactively following security alerts, incidents and problems to ensure monitoring logs can and will be analyzed for system behavior to enable fast resolutions. Collaborating and supporting monitoring activities for both global and USA IT teams. Supporting the Customer Solutions team in turn-over-production activities to ensure the right monitoring will be implemented prior to the release to production. Conducting regular health checks to ensure optimal IT security, service availability and performance. Conducting preventative and proactive events analysis to ensure actions can be taken timely to prevent incidents and IT security risks.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Certification, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in IT related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration preferred 1-2+ years of relevant work experience within IT infrastructure support teams Knowledge of Windows server, network and desktop hardware, software and Microsoft Office applications preferred General End User Support Experience preferred SolarWinds and Infra monitoring experience preferred Knowledge of setting up remote access for users preferred Ability to administer a 250+ node network including firewalls a plus Ability to support networked printers and photocopiers preferred Working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies preferred Excellent communicate both written and orally. Ability to prioritize, utilize time management, and work cross functionally. Ability to analyse system behavior to translate into actions.
