Project Manager II

New Bern, NC / Full-time

Your responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of the project by meeting agreed upon project deliverables and objectives. The Project Leader will also serve for projects prior to approval of the Project Application in order to ensure these requirements are adequately incorporated into the project. He/ She is responsible for controlling all aspect of the project(s), including organizing the project teams, communication of all relevant information to stakeholders, managing risks and expectations, and ensuring proper project documentation.

·Lead small/medium regional product projects within the Division for BSH North America.

·Overall planning and management of new product projects with alignment of BSH product development process (PDP), with special focus of project milestones (M0-M8), project/ product costs, and product quality

·Conducting of risk management in projects

·Controlling and reporting the project status to relevant stakeholders and management (including Project Review Meetings (PRM), Project Jour Fixe, Supply/Demand Meetings (SDM), and other Project Meetings)

·Creation of project application requests (PARs) and management through approval process

·Selection, organization, and management of project teams and administration of project core team meetings

·Manages overall information flow among internal and external stakeholders (including Development, Category Management, Technical Product Management, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project Controlling)

·Lead regional product projects within the Division for BSH North America.

·Overall coordination of new product projects to drive successful implementation of the overall product strategy.

·Perform all other duties as assigned

Your profile

·Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration/Engineering) – Required

·Certification (PMP) – Preferred

·3-5 Years of Experience (Experience in Technical Product Mgmt, Product Development, or other departments in a manufacturing environment (less qualified individual)) – Required

·5-7 Years of Experience (Experience in Technical Product Mgmt, Product Development, or other departments in a manufacturing environment (highly qualified individual)) – Required

·5-7 Years of Experience (Project management experience) – Required

·Detail oriented

·Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

·Time management and project management skills

·Strong organizational skills

·Excellent communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people up to and including upper management

·Negotiation skills

·Must be able to work well with people in other departments under difficult and sometimes stressful circumstances

·Knowledge of Product Development processes

·Strategic scenario evaluation based on multiple disciplines (Controlling, Engineering, Manufacturing, ID, etc…)

·Project leadership experience

·Experience in Project Management of Product Development projects preferred

·Experience in Product Specification processes

·Proficiency with MSProject, Powerpoint, Excel and Word

·Other BSH Systems (SAP, CMD, PM4U, etc.)

·Travel Percentage – 10%

Your Pay & Benefits

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
