Product Manager, Industrial Minerals

Work closely with the Global Products and Region teams, cross-regionally and cross- functionally, to
create a clear integrated Industrial Minerals (IM) strategy, and a master product plan, to be incorporated
into the regional strategies refreshed on annual basis.
· IM P&L accountability including sales and gross margin for all product/service sales global in a matrix
relationship with the Regional General Managers
· Support the sale of IM products through technical and commercial support of tenders, presentations to
customers, OE contract execution to achieve bookings, profitability and market share targets
· Guide product marketing activity, including product launches, presentations, competitive comparisons,
and sales training
· Utilize development organization to achieve specific product outcomes
Key Job Responsibilities
· Ensure globalization of product as required
· Lead the product manager/s and work with the regional sales and marketing team to analyze market
dynamics and define market needs of current and next model of products
· Lead the compilation of the master plan for the IM system by working collaboratively with regional and global teams, including market requirements, competitive landscape, gaps, product positioning, lifecycle, pricing, operations footprint and product support plan
· Work collaboratively with regional and global teams to execute the product strategy
· Following global and regional processes to set up specific product line P&Ls and be responsible to the
achievements of the product P&Ls.
· Evaluate customer inquiries with sales team and oversee the tendering process of cutting equipment, and
strategize on pricing, technical specs, and delivery lead time to maximize winning opportunities
· Drive development of market and business intelligence for their product scope
· Produce analytics to inform leadership team on product performance (financially and technically) and
suggest actions to influence the trends
· Coordinate resources to meet internal and external customer needs of product training, presentation,
technical liaison etc.
· Develop market strategies for new product releases
Qualifications/Requirements
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field is required.
• Mining application, Industrial minerals experienced background
• Strong business orientation
· 5 years of experience in product management, product development, or sales and marketing of
customized underground mining equipment is required
· Strong business acumen, global mindset, ability to do strategic planning and be hands-on to execute
· Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communicator, facilitator and influencer
· Comfortable working in a matrix environment and work collaboratively to deliver results
· Comfortable working in complex and uncertain environment, forming plans, making decision, and moving
forward
· Strong presentation and negotiation skills with senior customer
• Influencing, strong communications skills and able to challenge status quo.
• Global experience and willingness to travel.
