Job Summary

: Research and secure community job placements which meet the needs of individual students. Consult with staff teams in the assessment of individual students and the development of student goals and objectives. Coordinate supervision and evaluation of students in one-on-one training. Schedule and provide training and placement of students. Coordinate the development of adaptations, teaching aids, communication systems and behavior management systems to meet individual student’s needs and goals. Monitor and assess student progress. Discuss progress or issues with parents and employers. Assist parents and staff with linkages and follow-up services post High School activities. Meet regularly with Teachers, Teacher Assistants and specialists to discuss individual student’s modifications or adaptations, ongoing learning issues, interventions or problems. Work collaboratively to ensure individual student’s needs are met. Actively participate on problem solving and intervention teams to facilitate early involvement and resolution to learning or behavioral problems.  Complete required documentation of student progress. 

Responsible to supervise employees engaged in job coaching and transportation. Assign and review work, train, assist employees and eliminate ordinary difficulties. 
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: The qualified candidate will have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an LBSI endorsement.

Rate of pay: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Selection Procedure: Qualified candidates will be contacted by the appropriate building administrator.
