Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION
HCSC is looking for a dynamic individual to join its Communications team This position is responsible for developing and executing a variety of communications to meet the needs of multiple audiences through interaction with key stakeholders, subject matter experts and management at all levels of the organization. In this extremely fast-moving environment, all job expectations must be met on time with customer-service orientation, a high degree of flexibility, a professional demeanor and the ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly shifting deadlines with a sense of urgency. The incumbent must also have a willingness to work beyond standard hours to meet requirements. This role is hybrid/flex and requires in-office visibility three days per week, working from the other two days.

NOTE: relocation will not be extended, sponsorship is not available ~

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, PR or Communications 4 years’ corporate communications experience including copy development, editing and print project management 8 years’ corporate communications experience. Strong ability to work under pressure and short timelines; ability to handle multiple projects with shifting deadlines simultaneously. Strong knowledge of MS Office Word and PowerPoint software. Ability to interact with high profile clients with confidence. Adept and comfortable at influencing the decision-making process. Willingness to work beyond standard hours to meet client requirements, if necessary. Demonstrated ability to write and edit an array of communications materials for internal/external audiences. Strong organizational, project management and consulting skills. Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential information; adept at handling situations with political appropriateness and sensitivity while influencing positive outcomes.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

AP Style and Brevity experience. Direct client-facing contact supporting performance guarantees. Medicare, Medicaid experience. Strong project management skills.
