Purpose

To serve as a member of the Texas Gift Operations team including primarily handling unique corporate gifts, foundation gifts, and philanthropic grants, acting as back up for the Non-Monetary Gift Program and providing backup contact for membership and tax deductibility concerns.

Responsibilities

Assist Assistant Director with the development and execution of unique corporate gift agreements including unrestricted corporate research gifts, corporate sponsorships and other corporate funding agreements, foundation gifts, and philanthropic grants.

Assist in the timely and accurate review of corporate and foundation gift agreements in order to ensure proper language and identify any potential issues, along with facilitating the timely and accurate processing of gifts and philanthropic grants.

Create pledge for multi-year corporate and foundation gifts, and philanthropic grant agreements

Complete onboarding process and administrate company payment service portals as necessary

Monitor and reconcile Corporate and Foundation Relations Gift Holding Account

Track incoming gifts from corporate, foundation, and philanthropic grants and link gift or pledge transactions to the proposal record to complete ingestion process and ensure accurate VIP data. Develop tracking system for unique corporate gifts and private funds supporting research, in partnership with Research, Sponsored Projects, and Industry Engagement

Partner with UT foundation to complete subaward agreement letters, and invoice submissions.

Expand online documentation and templates in DevGuide and DevDirect

Assist with NDA completion for gift agreements as needed

Provide backup in the creation and execution of policies working with administrative offices including Accounting, Business Contracts, Compliance, Information Technology, Legal Affairs, Research, Financial Aid, Technology Commercialization, and Trademark Licensing.

Provide expertise in higher education funding trends and reporting guidelines through participation in professional organizations CASE, AASP, UIDP, NACRO, etc.

Manage Corporate Gift Processing and Foundation Gift Processing email listservs to ensure timely communication and the creation of ticketing platform entries.

Act as backup for non-monetary gift processing.

Performs other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of experience with research proposal submissions and post award maintenance & compliance in a research heavy unit or other academic setting.

Ability to review and interpret the terms and conditions of research grants and contracts.

Grant writing and review experience.

Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in governmental or commercial accounting.

Experience working in case management tool.

Knowledge of federal guidelines pertaining to institutions of higher education.

Experience in a Sponsored Projects Office.

Demonstrated experience developing and implementing standards and process improvement.

Salary Range

$58,000 + depending on qualifications
