ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provides oversight to the Connections Coordinator; collaborating to enhance the guest experience, ensuring a warm and hospitable atmosphere for visitors and members. Develop and implement strategies to effectively integrate new members into the church community. Establish a follow-up system to connect with visitors, answer questions, and guide them in their journey within the church. Work collaboratively with ministry teams to identify and place volunteers based on their skills, passions, and spiritual gifts. Provide ongoing training for volunteers involved in connection and hospitality roles. Equip leaders within the church to effectively engage and connect with members and visitors. Ensure ongoing maintenance of accurate records of newcomers, attendees, and volunteers. Utilize church management system (Rock) to track and analyze data related to connection and assimilation efforts. Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Leadership experience, with the ability to recruit, train, and motivate volunteer teams. Strong team player with a willingness to complete a variety of tasks, with a shared workload. Ability to multitask, manage complex, sensitive, and detailed-oriented situations with confidentiality. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and able to learn new computer programs, such as FMX and Rock. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires sitting, standing, lifting, reaching, and crawling.

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

Reports to: Pastor of Discipleship Position Type: Exempt Schedule: As is typical for ministry, this position requires a flexible schedule. It includes agreed upon onsite office hours, Sunday services, occasional Saturday services, evening activities.
