Engineering Manager, Big Data Platform

Our Data Platform team builds our core data infrastructure including transactional data (OLTP), metric data (OLAP) and the related ETL pipelines. In this position you will guide the technical development of the platform, lead the development roadmap and grow the team members.

Requirements
BS/MS in Computer Science or related discipline 5+ years software development experience with Java or Scala 3+ years of experience in a management or lead position Demonstrated competence using scalable distributed processing frameworks Knowledge the Hadoop ecosystem components, such as: HBase, Phoenix, Kafka, Spark, and Oozie Ability to examine data workflow processes to identify and resolve problems with correctness or performance Ability to communicate engineering design and tasks in writing and in conversation Knowledge of advertising technology is a plus Compensation
This is an on-site, full-time salaried position located in our San Francisco office. Compensation depends on prior experience. We pay market-leading compensation and provides Equity participation, best in class comprehensive health plans including medical, vision and dental, in addition to generous PTO we reimburses 50% of monthly commuting costs for parking and/or mass transit up to the IRS limitations. Our world headquarters is located in the financial district of San Francisco, with remote offices in Chicago, New York, Austin, and Portland. European headquarters are located in Dublin, with additional offices in London, Singapore, Paris, Hamburg, Sydney, Shanghai and Tokyo.
