About the Role

Contrast Security is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and architecture, with experience in modernizing and scaling data platforms. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust data architecture that supports our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures that support our business needs.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain data pipelines for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data is readily available for analysis and decision-making.
  • Cloud Integration: Integrate and manage data platforms on cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
  • Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance and security policies to ensure data privacy and compliance.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor data platform performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Skills: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java & Python.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Data Warehousing: Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Big Data Technologies: Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Containerization: Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What We Offer

Compensation

This position's standard base pay range is $150,000 - $180,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an equity package subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider several factors: geography, skill set, experience, job scope, and current market data.
