Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Director, Data Solutions - Governance for the North American region to lead and manage our data governance initiatives. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive data governance strategy focused on Azure technologies to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of our data assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.

This is  remote  role with the preferred candidate residing in the Eastern Time Zone 

The successful candidate will:

Develop and Implement Data Governance Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy for the North American region that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives Establish Data Policies and Standards: Define, document, and enforce data policies, standards, and procedures, with a focus on Azure technologies, to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data assets Data Quality Management: Oversee data quality initiatives to identify, assess, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accurate and reliable data across the organization Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure data governance practices comply with relevant North American regulations and standards, and manage data-related risks effectively Data Stewardship: Promote data stewardship practices across the organization, encouraging data ownership and accountability at all levels Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with regional leadership, global teams, and other regions to foster collaboration and ensure alignment on data governance initiatives Customer Focus: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including customers, to understand their data needs and ensure data governance strategies enhance customer satisfaction and business outcomes Leadership and Team Building: Lead and mentor a team of data governance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on data governance principles and best practices Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of data governance initiatives

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field. MBA is a plus Experience:8+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or related rolesProven experience in developing and implementing data governance strategiesExperience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projectsPrior experience leading teams in data space, sales & marketing, and finance is a plus Skills:Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practicesExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with Azure technologies and toolsKnowledge of relevant North American regulations and standards (., GDPR, CCPA)Knowledge and skills in SAFe, ITIL, PMP, and Six Sigma are a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Data Management or Data Governance (., CDMP, DGSP) Experience in Manufacturing, Finance, Healthcare, Food Services, Services
