Position Overview: Marketing Development Representative
As a crucial member of the sales organization at our company (name removed), the Marketing Development Representative (MDR) plays a key role in swiftly and effectively following up on marketing-generated leads. The MDR qualifies these leads as sales opportunities, guiding solid leads through the sales funnel, scheduling meetings, and ultimately driving the conversion of marketing-generated leads into revenue.
Reporting to the Director of Sales Development, the MDR collaborates closely with marketing, sales, and operations, contributing insights to enhance lead management best practices. Maintaining excellent response times to interested leads (SLA's), the MDR continuously refines the lead process for internal stakeholders, ensuring a superior customer experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage inbound lead activity, identifying active buying interest and cultivating opportunities in prospective accounts.
Oversee sales phone lines, sales web-based leads, and sales events leads.
Prioritize and triage leads to the appropriate department, ensuring a superior customer experience and setting the stage for effective sales follow-up.
Develop templates and leverage automation to improve SLA's continually.
Collaborate with marketing to share insights and best practices, enhancing lead quality and the lead funnel process.
Utilize onboarding and continuous training to become an expert about the company, industry, and platform benefits, effectively articulating the value proposition while gathering information about prospect needs.
Qualifications
Highly organized with excellent prioritization skills.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Experience or strong interest in education, edtech, early childhood programming, and private childcare.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM (not required but advantageous).
Experience with Salesloft or other SEP (not required but advantageous).
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Familiarity with Teaching Strategies solutions and products.
