DESCRIPTION: Patricio Enterprises, Inc. is looking to fill a Computer Aided Design Designer position in Stafford, VA, to provide CAD support to the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) Program and analytical support for the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) Database for the ACV Program.

Primary duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Obtain and maintain SIPRNet access in order to support the development of all classified documents.
  • Review, develop, and maintain CAD drawings and models IAW Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA) Configuration Management (CM) processes for all ACV variants.
  • Review and document issues with drawings and models, coordinate the resolution of the issues, and provide feedback to the Government.
  • Update the CAD products based on approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
  • Develop concept 3D designs and perform modeling analyses (e.g., space claim, volume and interference checks).
  • Review vehicle Contractor ECPs for the ACV.
  • Support CM activities (e.g., Configuration Control Boards, ECPs, Requests for Variance, Deviations, Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), and Physical Configuration Audits).
  • Review and comment on technical review, Requirement, CM, and Technical Data Package (TDP) contractor deliveries.
  • Review system, subsystem and component requirements for hardware, software, and firmware, the associated traceability and the parts/TDP connection (functional to physical).
  • Review ECPs, Product Quality Deficiency Reports, Field Installation Work Instructions, Maintenance Instructions, Technical Manuals, and training documents.
  • Perform TDP/DOORS change control.
  • Review drawings and TDPs/DOORS deliveries.
  • Incorporate ECP information into DOORS (e.g., Developmental Test/Operational Test/Live Fire/Interim Data Report/FCA).
  • Track the development of, and control changes to functional and product baseline documentation for hardware, software, and firmware.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the functional and product baselines to ensure form, fit, and function of the platform.
  • Update DOORS requirements/drawings for ECPs after take over product baseline control.
  • Perform searches of the CM system to gather data.
  • Review Bill of Materials, parts lists and drawings in particular review the specification drawings relative to DOORS.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 6-8 years of related professional experience.
  • Expertise in 2D (dwg, .C4, and PDF) and 3D (e.g., CREO) CAD files, as well as Windchill.
  • Experience with ASME Y14.100 standards.
  • Experience supporting an ACAT Level I - III program of record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SIPR Network access to develop classified documents.
  • Provided analytical support to maintain requirements for defense acquisition programs in varying stages of the acquisition process using the DOORS database.
  • Within the DOORS database, maintained the integrity and accuracy of functional and product baselines to ensure form, fit, and function of the platform while accurately tracking and effectively controlling changes to the baselines.
  • Reviewed system, subsystem, and component requirements; performing traceability analyses (functional to physical); and maintained change control while incorporating updates from drawings, TDPs, and ECPs.
  • Supported CM activities, not limited to performing searches of the CM system to gather data; participated in CCBs and FCAs/PCAs; and assisted with ECPs, RFVs, and Deviations.
  • Provided CAD support to a defense acquisition program, not limited to reviewing, developing, and maintaining drawings and models in accordance with CM processes; documented and coordinated resolution of issues with CAD files; reviewed ECPs and updated CAD files accordingly; performed modeling analyses (space claim, volume and interference checks); and developed 3D concept designs.
  • Delivered reports to the customer to provide status updates and feedback on issue resolution.
  • Reviewed and commented on vendor deliverables, instruction-type documents, training documents, BOMs, parts lists, and drawings.

Occasionally lifts to 20 lbs.
