Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Research Analyst. The Research Analyst will assist in planning and conducting research projects involving designs, field studies and surveys. The candidate will support the Office of Women's Health - Health Promotion Bureau program. This position requires working with program staff and community-based organizations to enter, prepare, and manage data for reporting; performing data analyses; constructing formal reports for diverse stakeholders; and conducting program evaluation tasks related to the field of domestic violence for a federally funded grant project.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 12/31/2024 with potential renewal.
Pay Rate-
$33.79/hr working 40 hours a week

Shifts: M-F (Hybrid) 2-3 days in clients Alhambra, CA office
Job Duties
  • Plan, design, maintain, conduct, and interpret data related to domestic violence services
  • Process and analyze data using spreadsheet and statistical software (experience with SAS is highly preferred)
  • Occasionally use peer-reviewed literature databases to perform formal literature searches to efficiently and effectively summarize findings
  • Prepare reports (twice monthly and as needed) using program data to provide stakeholders (ranging from community-based organizations to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors) with current progress related to clients and community-based organizations serving survivors of domestic violence
  • Occasionally provide recommendations (both written and orally) based on reviews of literature, data management, program reports, and other sources
  • Consult with program staff and community-based organizations to remedy any errors with data sources, data management processes, reporting, and related concerns
  • Occasionally explain procedures for effective data collection, data management, and reporting to program staff and community-based staff to maintain project integrity
  • Assist program staff with project management tasks, which may involve carrying out assignments under minimal supervision or potentially also supervising trainees
  • Prepare and execute analyses related to program evaluation and provide appropriate interpretations of analyses to various audiences
  • Engage with office personnel as needed to fulfill job duties, data management, reporting, and analyses
  • Participate in routine county employment requirements, including trainings, administrative tasks, and meetings

Desirable Qualifications:
  • A master's degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and one year's post master's research experience -or- A bachelor's degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and any combination of relevant education and/or experience totaling three years
  • A valid Class C California Drivers License, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to a variety of sites throughout Los Angeles County
  • Use of PowerPoint to accurately depict and present such analysis (i.e., gaps, trends, and anomalies) is a plus.
