Randall Construction – Prefabrication department is currently seeking top-tier Welder/ Pipefitters to work in our Shop in Apopka, FL . We are excited about this important role andare determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet ourrequirements.
Position Summary
This is a full-time on-site role for Welders/PipeFitters located in Apopka, FL. The Welders/Pipe Fitters will be responsible forwelding and fitting pipes to specifications, examining work product for defects,and ensuring conformance with specifications.
Essential Functions
Fit and Weld steel pipes for plumbing/mechanical applications.
Desired Qualification Requirements
Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, and welding techniques Ability to read and interpret spool drawings and technical detail data sheets. Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity with attention to detail High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in pipe welding Must be able to pass a brief verbal pipe fitters test during interview. Working knowledge of SMAW, FCAW, Stick (6010/7018) welding Working knowledge of gas cutting techniques for piping (Automatic & Manually) Excellent knowledge of Fitting configurations adhering to ASME Power Piping Preferred knowledge of examination, testing, inspection, operation, and maintenance of piping systems found in industrial, institutional, and general heating and cooling systems.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Effective English or Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) verbal and writtencommunication skills are a must have
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinaryteams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to achieve quality objectivesand project success.
Safety: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols, procedures,and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
Physical Requirements
You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and standon your feet for several hours at a time. , be able to respond quicklyto sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personalprotective gear.
