Vital Link is located in Sealy, Texas. We are looking to add two new additions to our inventory team.

**Duties**

Perform all duties assigned by the Inventory Control Supervisor. As further described below this includes performing inventory transactions, maintaining inventory records, performing audits of inventory transactions and goods, and maintaining inventory in a neat and orderly manner in the assigned area of responsibility.

Act as the lead to execute day-to-day departmental responsibilities Coordinate the work activities of Clerks and Laborers assigned to the Department to execute instructions and directions from the Supervisor.

Execute transactions in a timely and accurate manner in the company computer system to transfer goods into and out of inventory. This includes the transfer of raw materials and purchased parts into inventory, transfer of purchased parts from inventory to project and/or shop jobs, the transfer of finished fabricated goods from shop jobs to inventory, and the transfer of finished goods from inventory to project and/or shop jobs.

Accurately create and maintain inventory records and documentation both in paper and electronic format.

Assist with reconciliation of discrepancies between recorded and physical inventory as directed by the Inventory Control Supervisor.

Participate in the year-end inventory and cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory against recorded inventory. Assist with audits of all projects and shop jobs on a regular basis against the shipped Bill of Materials to ensure that they have been properly charged with goods shipped from inventory against the project or shop job.

Ensure that all units of measure are correctly reflected in the inventory record, and that transfers to / from inventory are checked for unit of measure issues.

For steel raw materials and other bulk goods, coordinate with the Production Control Manager for the release and delivery of materials to the Production Department. The Inventory Specialist shall be responsible for the transfer of finished fabricated products from shop jobs to inventory.

Preferred

Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Experience working in an open air facility.

ERP experience is a plus.
