is looking for a qualified individual to support our youth in striving for success and long-term confidence in their ability to gain independence and necessary life skills.

We are searching for an Independent Living Specialist with social work experience, who has the ability to work with a variety of people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and temperaments, for a Full-Time or Part-Time hourly position. DUTIES:

Facilitating mentorship for the youth

Responsible for coordinating with state appointed independent living workers for

clientele benefit

Seek out and facilitate opportunities for youth to gain knowledge and confidence in independent living skills including; Money Management, Household Management, Employment Preparation, Organizational Skills, etc.

Responsible for providing life skills instruction and curriculum for youth to gain independent living skills and confidence

Coordinating skill building activities with youth specific to expanding their knowledge and confidence in independent living and life skills

Facilitating curriculum scheduling with house supervisors to accommodate program schedules

Responsible for documenting services provided for Medicaid reporting

Assisting with client and appointment transportation

REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent communication and organization skills

Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Pass FBI and Interstate background checks at candidate's expense (reimbursable after employed)

Valid Nevada driver's license

At least one year of experience working with youth in care

PREFERRED:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in any of the following fields: Psychology, Sociology, Community Health Sciences, Health Ecology, Public Health, Social Work, Human Development, Early Childhood Education, Nursing, Speech Pathology, or Anthropology
