Position Summary:

The Product Marketing Manager is an exceptional marketing leader in strategic thinking, planning, product marketing, customer-driven insights, and cross-functional collaboration. This Manager will set an insights-driven vision and strategy for product marketing and innovation based on competitive assessments, market intelligence, customer insights, product and customer data. This candidate will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams to build and execute successful, integrated go-to-market (GTM) and product adoption programs.

Driven by data, this role will help drive marketing efforts to reach target sales goals for products and product categories. This position will work closely with the product management, merchandising, marketing, sales, technology, and ecommerce teams to develop a coordinated, omni-channel product journey. Starting with the target audiences and their respective needs, this role will contribute to the development of product positioning, messaging, differentiation, storytelling, and integrated campaigns of our products to help drive awareness and engagement with our customers, prospects, and target markets.

The Product Marketing Manager will set a multi-quarter roadmap, prioritizing multiple initiatives, oversee successful product launches, and oversee portfolio of products and services. He/she will be responsible for tracking results and continuously improving processes to achieve KPIs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of SFC's business, products, customers, and strategic roadmap to enable you to recognize and convey our unique value to the market through various sales channels
  • Drive all marketing aspects of product launches and expansion by working closely with relevant cross-functional teams including marketing, creative, product development, sales, and ecommerce
  • Partner with the Product Management Team in the overall product branding roadmap and related intellectual property
  • Gather voice of customer and apply customer-driven insights to enhance customer acquisition, customer experience, retention, and referrals through relevant products and product-related experiences
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to understand their needs
  • Utilize data, insights, and customer listening to create compelling product storytelling
  • Develop value propositions, messaging architecture, go-to-market plans, and playbooks to create repeatable successes for product marketing
  • Cultivate an understanding of the roles our products serve to support the creation of relevant marketing communications, support product development, strategize journey mapping, develop personas, and enhance the customer experience
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • 5+ years experience in product marketing, marketing, and/or product management required; footwear / apparel experience required
  • Track record of successfully launching new products into the marketplace and building product brands
  • Experience designing, executing and scaling multi-channel marketing campaigns from concept to completion, including measuring results
  • Experience with digital marketing as well as traditional (e.g., print, collateral).
  • Analytical and KPI-driven; experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Strong experience with Excel and Tableau
  • Solid content marketing background to drive customer relevance, growth and share of wallet
  • Excellent communicator; effective verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to executives and cross-functional leaders.
  • Digitally savvy. Experience with MS Office; PLM experience a plus
  • Strong project management experience; have solid organization and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally, particularly with Product Development and Sales Teams
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and successfully meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with the ability to adapt quickly in a growing, dynamic company

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Management, engineering, or Business; MBA a plus
  • 5+ Years of experience in a related field and/or position
