Summary:

As a Data Manager at Powin, you will play a pivotal role in defining and maintaining exemplary data management practices, across multiple systems and departments, both domestic and overseas. This role requires a deep understanding of data management principles as well as proven experience with CAD, PDM, and PLM systems. The Data Manager will need to be a proactive leader skilled in guiding process adherence and promoting collaboration across engineering, manufacturing and related teams. This role will ensure alignment with our global engineering strategies.

Job Details:

  • Define, implement, and maintain best practices for data management and integrity, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Administer PDM user permissions and workflow management
  • Track files through PDM system workflows to ensure alignment with PLM system workflows
  • Manage CAD data file references for continuous improvement and sustainability
  • Serve as the key liaison between engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, software), quality, manufacturing, and PLM administrators to facilitate seamless data integration and process efficiency
  • Act as leader in defining and improving processes related to CAD data management best practices
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to enhance data quality, streamline data workflows, and support the company's strategic objectives
  • Coordinate with international teams to ensure global data practices are aligned and consistently implemented, fostering a unified approach to data management across the company
  • Review assembly and BOM file structures including sub-assemblies, parts, and drawings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in data management roles within engineering or manufacturing sectors
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience in driving data management within a complex, cross-functional engineering environment
  • Proficient in fostering teamwork and collaboration between diverse engineering disciplines and operational teams
  • Strong understanding of Solidworks, Solidworks PDM enterprise, and PLM systems and their application in a manufacturing and engineering context
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing configured BOM’s and understanding of change management processes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across levels and functions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support international teams
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Limited travel requirements
  • Bilingual English and Chinese Mandarin (preferred)
