Roving Lot Checker

The Details Location: Seattle, WA Position: Parking Lot Checker Pay Rate: $21.00/ hour Hours: part time (at least 20 hours /week) Requirements: All applicants must have a valid driver's license with 2 years worth of driving experience. This position requires that the Lot Checker drives their personal or company issued vehicle to and from various lots around the city. The Spirit of the Position: The Lot Checker will be travelling to various parts of the city to check meters and make sure all customers are appropriately parked. What will I do? Identify parking violations and determine the level of citation per violation. Process violation notice and/or request towing service. Follow vehicle towing procedure. Conduct lot audits as needed. Insure proper signage is displayed. General maintenance of Pay and Display machines. Basic maintenance of parking lots. Other duties as assigned. Complete all required paperwork and reports accurately and efficiently to account for any and all collected parking revenues. Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times. Maintain and report any malfunctioning parking equipment to management, ensuring appropriate access to customers. Be in correct LAZ Parking uniform, on time, and ready to work when scheduled. Work with and without supervision and follow directions of supervisors when requests are made. Inform all people loitering to move off property or call non-emergency number for police support. Make sure the location is clean and safe; report any potential hazardous conditions. Travel to multiple locations to perform all of the above tasks. Other related duties as assigned. Education/ Skills: Strong customer service skills and abilities. Ability to travel from location to location to perform lot check duties Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude). Ability to work independently and multi-task. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization and outside customers and clientele. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness. Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations. Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push and pull at least25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift. Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrists, arms, legs, ankles, knees and hips. Ability to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means f the spoken word. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discrimination in sound.
