We are currently hiring experienced EMT's looking to join a great team This is a PRN Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) job opening in Aqueduct, NY.About the role: This is a permanent PRN position. You will work as needed and as available. Hours will vary during race season. This is not your typical EMS space, we have a great team and we have a lot of fun There is an ambulance on-site available for emergency situations.Must have NYC REMAC and Nassau County REMSCO certifications upon hire.Essential Functions: Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed, or need for additional assistanceRestores and stabilizes heart rhythm on pulseless, nonbreathing patientMonitors cardiac patientAdministers initial treatment at emergency scene and takes and records patient's vital signsObserves, records, and reports to physician patient's condition, treatments, and significant incidentsAssists in extricating trapped victims and transports sick and injured persons to treatment centerCommunicates with physician, and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephoneKeeps current on treatment techniques, protocol changes, material, and equipment.Prepares required reports and maintains records of activitiesMay drive mobile unit to and from emergency sceneCleans assigned emergency vehicleRequisitions and restocks supplies, material, and equipmentConducts safety inspections and restocking of first aid supplies as directedMay require other duties as assignedJob Requirements: Completion with passing grades from an accredited Emergency Medical Technician program, EMT Certification as defined within the state in which contract existsCurrent hands on certification in health care provider ARC or AHA Basic Life Support requiredPreferred Experience:At least three years' experience as an EMT in an emergency room, with an ambulance/EMS service, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinicWork-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed.
