Job Description:

Global Language Strategies is seeking experienced English-to-Farsi translators and/or editors to join our team. This is a freelance, remote contract position for our client in the following pairs: English to Farsi

The work is for our military client and requires full U.S. citizenship to translate and/or edit vital records, military documentation, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts. Your role will consist of translating and/or editing various types of documentation that is confidential. This requires excellent formatting skills.

Our ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

1) A native speaker of Farsi and near-native English.

2) Experience translating and/or editing vital records, transcripts, legal and military documentation.

3) Bachelor's Degree in Translation or equivalent.

4) A minimum of three to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor.

5) Reliable, able to meet deadlines, and highly productive.

6) A team player, with excellent communication skills.

7) Must be equipped with up-to-date Windows software.

8) Preferred ATA or ProZ certified

9) Excellent formatting skills.

10) Comfortable with one-to-two-day deadlines.

11) Able to provide per-word rates for either translations and editing or both.

** Payment is based on a per-word rate.

This is a remote position.
