Billing Specialist

to join our Accounting Department. The

Billing Specialist

compiles, manages, and executes company billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable. This employee may also perform a variety of other accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures. Maintains contact with staff, vendors and clients while maintaining confidentiality of client and company matters. Responsibilities: Processes billing twice monthly, with a focus on clients with contract or special billing requirements Resolves ad hoc billing requests in a timely manner Provides internal customer service for all billing needs Manages billing portal access, including initial setup, maintenance and ongoing invoice submissions Support the accounting team with various tasks or duties as needed (including accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.) Supports annual and interim audit requests Generate electronic bills in compliable format and upload to various electronic billing programs per client guidelines Review and verify accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required Utilizes computerized accounting and payables software programs Requirements: 6+ months of accounting or administrative experience College degree preferred, not required Proficient in Microsoft Excel Has strong attention to detail and manages deadlines well Excellent communication skills, both written and orally
