Administrative Generalist

FORVIS is looking for an organized and self-motivated Administrative Generalist to be responsible for providing administrative support to our office personnel. As an Administrative Generalist, you will work closely with our Administration team by handling clerical duties, proofreading, and formatting professional documents, and offering additional assistance where it is needed.
How you will contribute:
- Assembling tax returns, including transmission to client and government
- Assisting the tax department (scan tax documentation, filing, mail room processing, etc.)
- Tax work-flow management
- E-filing tax returns & extensions and monitoring of tax acceptances
- Managing tax due dates and delivery of tax deliverables
- Assisting with front desk reception/hospitality duties as required
- Providing administrative support to partners and practice management teams
- Composing and editing letters, memos, meeting minutes and other firm correspondence, as needed
- Assisting in other administrative functions (expense reporting, booking travel, ordering supplies, etc.)
- Close attention to detail (must be able to verify numerical accuracy)
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as a team and collaborate
- Ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines
- Excellent grammar & proofreading skills
- Problem-solving & resolution ability
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 3 years or more of administrative experience in a professional services environment
- Completed coursework from an accredited college/university or an associate degree
