**Retail Sales Specialist - Ft Lauderdale, FL**

**Summary**
Service Publix retail locations across assigned division. Support the Fresh Express Chiquita - Publix Sales Team, with assigned tasks, ensuring merchandising and reporting excellence both internally and to Publix Divisional Operations Team.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
*Retail Analysis:*
* Conduct store audits to monitor retail conditions and
establish relationships with Store Manager, Produce and Deli Department managers.
* Develop working relationship with Produce Retail Coordinator (RC) and Retail Improvement Specialist (RIS) of the Publix Divisional Operations team within assigned region.
* Report retail audit results to Publix Divisional Operations Team on a weekly and monthly basis.
* On a weekly and monthly basis compile retail audit information into Fresh Express standard reports.
* Communicate details of all new Fresh Express product launches to Publix Division Operations team and store level personnel.
* Execute Fresh Express special projects and initiatives
* Document and report non-compliant opportunities internally and externally in a timely manner.
* Identify, document, and report any product quality issues at the shelf or reported by department manager.
* Identify, document, and report competitive activity on shelf such as new items and hot promotions.
* Maintain shelf Plan-O-Gram compliance working with store personnel, to ensure 100% product distribution.
* Identify, document, and report Fresh Express "Out of Stock" items.
* Review upcoming Fresh Express promotions with department manager and sell in secondary displays.
* Merchandise, display, and rotate products according to company standards and customer planograms.
* Review product handling and Best Practices with produce managers and department staff.
* Assist in resets, new store openings, setting up displays and end caps, and implementing company initiatives and promotions.
* Replace any missing everyday shelf tags or any promotional tags
* Help pack out shelves with products that are out of stock and proactively place newly authorized items.
* Check Freshness codes; pull off any out of date products and document opportunities for reporting purposes.
* Develop weekly routing of store audits and maintain current store coverage in the most efficient manner possible.
* Actively contribute to weekly conference calls providing updates on the current retail conditions to determine monthly retail priorities.
* Attend Publix new store grand openings, sales meetings, and special events
* Communicate Industry news such as transition of growing regions to Publix Division Operations team and store personnel.
* Carry out any daily tasks assigned by manager.
* Communicate all competitive changes or opportunities to manager
* Confirm changes in retail pricing - complete retail pricing audit
**Qualifications and Skills**
* Demonstrate a positive attitude and embrace all types of personalities at retail.
* Self-Starter with the drive and proven work ethic to work hard with minimal supervision.
* Effective communication skills, both written and oral
* Effective team player and relationship builder with proven ability to create a collaborative environment
* Ability to work under time constraints and perform with minimum supervision
* Ability to understand and interpret merchandising tools and visual direction
* Demonstrate a passion for customer service
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task with a sense of urgency
* Ability to adapt quickly to changes in work priorities
* Strong time management and organizational skills and time management
* Proficient computer skills- MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Valid Driver's license
* Must be able to drive for an extended period of time
* Overnight travel as needed
* Strong attention to detail
