[ [POSITION OVERVIEW: [The Planner/Scheduler performs scheduling duties for details and assemblies for sections of large customers or for smaller, but still critical customers with more stable production requirements. This position is a critical component in maintaining good customer relations while ensuring we meet their requirements. Communication to internal and external contacts is critical. *PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: ]{calibri=""}]{calibri=""}*]{new="" roman="" times=""} Uses Material Requirement Planning to roll planned orders to actual orders when material is available and creates release list after verifying material is not allocated to other jobs. Resolves order quantities and may request that more material be ordered. Communicates issues and resolutions with appropriate scheduler and manager to make sure they are aware. ```{=html} ``` - Research inventory issues involving details for all customers to ensure they will be available when needed for assembly. Makes necessary adjustments to schedules to meet delivery requirements and communicates changes with other Schedulers and Production staff as needed. ```{=html} ``` - Reviews schedules for EDI accuracy from assigned customers to find adds/drops and communicates issues/resolutions with internal and external customers. May add customer requirements to existing orders to reflect changes. May assist other Schedulers with research and changes as needed. ```{=html} ``` - Uses Master Production Schedule to roll planned orders into actual orders and performs planning duties as needed. Performs releases on assigned customer product. ```{=html} ``` - Maintains good customer relations with contacts at assigned customers by phone or email as needed. ```{=html} ``` - Monitor production order execution. Identifies idle and bottleneck processes impacting order completion. Communicates scheduling issues and conflicts with impacted departments and personnel to identify and update schedule priorities to resolve issues affecting on time completion. Assists with expediting product as needed. *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * One to three years of planning/scheduling experience *SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Excellent computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) Extensive organizational skills to multitask critical issues Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining customer relations with difficult topics Extensive skill and use of MPS systems Ability to meet deadlines Understanding of manufacturing equipment Understanding of the role in regard to Quality expectations Ability to act in a professional manner at all times Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Able to apply problem solving and resolve issues Be Quality minded. Must be flexible/adaptable Should be able to work with integrity throughout the day Must be able to work well without supervision. Must be self-motivated, energetic and have a positive attitude.
