This fully on-site position will be responsible for activities in materials, material control, and inventory control. PPE: required steel toed shoes and safety glasses

  • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems dealing with material flow coming through an external warehouse all the way to point of application
  • Coordinates the efficient movement of material with production, engineering, and planning
  • Ensures all parts have a home and are properly packaged and presentable for production
  • Performs a variety of coordinating, routing, and material handling duties to meet production schedules
  • Expedites parts to remedy shortage problems
  • Picks up and delivers materials within and outside company and maintains records on material flow
  • Ensure incoming materials are properly routed
  • Monitor the flow of materials and parts between departments to meet scheduled commitment
  • Associate's degree
  • At least 1 year of supply chain experience OR
  • At least 2 years of supply chain experience
Qualified candidates, excluding current Client employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Client does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Performs a variety of coordinating, routing, and material handling duties to meet production schedules. Expedites parts to remedy shortage problems. Picks up and delivers materials within and outside company and maintains records on material flow. May ensure incoming materials are properly routed. May monitor the flow of materials and parts between departments in order to meet scheduled commitments.

As a level in the Support Track, work is completing specific tasks or activities supporting implementation and administration.

Possesses substantial understanding of the job, knowledge and skills, applying subject matter knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Performs assignments that are moderately difficult in nature, which require judgment to resolve issues or to make recommendations. Works under limited or moderate degree of supervision and generally receives minimal instruction on daily work, with general instructions on newly introduced assignments. Applies subject matter knowledge and understands specific needs or requirements to apply knowledge and/or skills. Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sounds decisions.

The Springfield Assembly Plant (SAP) supports manufacturing operations of the CV-GM Vista Light Duty (Commercial Vocational); the MV-Medium Duty (Medium Vocational); and the HV-Heavy Duty (Heavy Vocational). Other operations include a cab assembly and stamping facility; a paint facility; an assembly plant and a Truck Specialty Center nearby.
