Duties/Responsibilities:As, Optometrists you will have the opportunity to examine, diagnose, treat, and manage eye disorders, diseases, and injuries that manifest in the eye. In addition to providing eye and vision care, you will also play a key role in an individual's general health and well-being.Required Skills/Abilities:Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditionsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgroundsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to maintain patient confidentialityGeneral computer proficiencyDemonstrated problem-solving skills and multitasking abilityEducation and Experience:Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry programActive NY state optometry license.Board Certified Medicaid provider preferredTwo-plus years of optometry experience preferredBenefits:Competitive salaryMalpractice insurancePTO and CME allowanceEmployee discounted servicesCommunity Medical & Dental Care, Inc., is a non-profit community health center serving the medically-underserved population of Rockland County, NY.
