The split is between Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) which is new to OSF and outpatient OT services. PACE responsibilities will include daily care conferences, group and one-on-one clinic interventions, home assessments and maintenance of PACE regulations. As the PACE program grows, more and more hours will be dedicated to PACE and less hours to outpatient. The PACE center is located downtown Peoria. Initial outpatient services location to be determined.Expected pay for this position is $35.33 - $41.57/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.POSITION SUMMARY: The PACE Occupational Therapist assists participants in the restoration and maintenance of occupational function through evaluation and treatment. Performs examination and evaluation of participants' occupational and functional status including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and integumentary systems as they relate to functional mobility skills. Includes gathering information from the participant chart, participant and family, or other source as appropriate. Within PACE, the Occupational Therapist will be expected to be an active participant in the Interdisciplinary Care Team and take a proactive role in working with the participant's clinical team to plan for and help facilitate the sustainability of the participant's life and wellbeing. QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education:Master's degree in occupational therapy Experience: A minimum of one year experience working with the frail or elderly population or, if the individual has less than one year of experience but meets all other requirements. Must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization on working with a frail or elderly population upon hiring. Licensure/ Certification: State license and National Board Certification Occupational Therapy registration. Must have valid CPR certification (AHA). Current state driver's license. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Strong written, oral and interpersonal Communication skills to be able to work well with others and to communicate effectively with participants, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging participant condition information. Analytical ability to evaluate participants' Occupational and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe participants and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft software, and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.
