Job Overview:

Shriners Children's Chicago has opportunities for full-time and part-time Certified Sterile Processing Techs. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most. Hours: Days & PMs. Some Weekends. PRN Shift would vary from early to late mornings, ending afternoons to early evenings. PMs Full & Part-time from late afternoon to evening hours.

Responsibilities:

The Sterile Processing Technicians, under the direction of the Sterile Processing Supervisor, decontaminates, prepares, processes, sterilizes and stores, essential surgical instruments, implants, hospital supplies, and equipment. Technicians order and manage surgical inventory and performs other routine tasks, as assigned.

This is not an all-inclusive list of this jobs responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma / GED

Experience required

Preferred:

Certified C.S.Technician from college or training school.

Certified Sterile Processing Technician preferred. Non-certified Technician with applicable years of experience considered.
