Job Description:

The Manager of Resource Planning is responsible for leading the Resource Analysts and working with field leadership to increase operational and financial performance of the organization while working to reduce business costs and increase efficiency. This position ensures the organization has sufficient resources to achieve operational objectives, forecast staffing needs, monitor stability, and analyze payroll trends. Additionally, this position will have responsibility for Ground Service Equipment (GSE) demand requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement to increase operational performance, client performance, and staffing demands.
  • Obtain information on occurrences that could impact demand like call outs, job changes and operational delays.
  • Ensure key labor and GSE cost metrics are met or exceeded.
  • Collect data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect resource planning and demand.
  • Escalate potential or actual interruptions to appropriate leadership.
  • Train team members, managers, and various stakeholders on the use of workforce planning tools.
  • Review historical operational trends to model the data to forecast future demand.
  • Communicate with leadership and team members to ensure compliance with client and the organization's expectations.
  • Analyze and interpret staffing model results by isolating and analyzing trends and assessing business impacts.
  • Meet with operational leadership to review staffing models to make improvements to future forecasts.
  • Work with general managers and operations control center managers to ensure staffing plans are properly translated to employee schedules.
  • Drive labor control and savings through proper planning and rostering.
  • Work with stations that are missing forecast targets on corrective action plans.
  • Prepare and analyze routine labor reports utilizing company systems such as Power BI.
  • Present and communicate findings and work with the local managers, business unit leader, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and implement strategies that will address tactical and strategic goals.
The Manager, Resource Planning should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline preferred or minimum 5 years' experience in airport operations and planning roles is required.
  • Expert knowledge in demand planning, scheduling tools or ERP platforms
  • Expert knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables) and working with large datasets. Analytical tools, Microsoft Powe BI etc.
  • Ability to work across multiple internal divisions to support planning for leadership.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Service orientation and collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to travel to stations as required.
  • Must work from an AGI Airport location
