In this role you will work on a variety of sophisticated aircraft engine and control systems. Job Duties: Installation and configuration of Linux OS on a variety of devices Assembly of or replacement of parts for PCs, laptops, servers. Development of scripts in various languages (Ansible, bash, etc.) Setup hardware with RAID, Logical Volume Manager (LVM), and encryption Backup of software and files in Git/Gitlab Required Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelors in Electrical, Software, Aeronautical Engineering or related field Zero to two years of experience as an engineer An excellent understanding of Software Principles including object oriented programming Enthusiastic about software development Self-Starter Able to work both on an individual project and as a team player Programming skills with Scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl, Tcl/Tk) Programming skills with C++ Excellent written and verbal communications skills Good Troubleshooting skills High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Lab Environment Cybersecurity experience DOORS experience Knowledge of Tool Qualification per DO-178B/C Aircraft communication bus protocols. We use ARINC-664, ARINC-629, ARINC-429, CAN, TTP - but even knowledge of Ethernet protocols would be a good foundation for learning aircraft communications protocols. Basic electrical engineering skills (ability to read a schematic, etc.) ACE or Six Sigma process improvement experience We provide a competitive pay and benefits package.
