Job Title: Automotive Service DispatcherCompany: Classic Ford - SmithfieldLocation: Smithfield, North CarolinaEmployment Type: Full Time - Salary OtherCompensation: $50,000 to $80,000 per year, paid semimonthlyJob Summary:Classic Ford - Smithfield is seeking an experienced and highly organized Automotive Service Dispatcher to join our team. As a key member of our service department, the Automotive Service Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching service requests to our technicians and ensuring timely and efficient completion of all repairs and maintenance work. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes.Compensation and Benefits:In addition to a competitive salary, Classic Ford - Smithfield offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options, as well as vacation time, sick leave, and 401k with company match.Responsibilities:•Receive and review service requests from customers and internal staff•Assign and dispatch service requests to appropriate technicians based on skill level and availability•Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service requests, technicians' schedules, and completed work•Communicate with customers regarding the status of their service requests and provide estimated completion times•Monitor work progress to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs and maintenance•Troubleshoot and resolve any scheduling or operational issues that may arise•Collaborate with the service manager to optimize technician productivity and department efficiency•Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and professional working environmentRequirements:•High school diploma or equivalent•At least 2 years of experience in a similar automotive service dispatching role•Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes•Excellent communication and customer service skills•Proficient in using computer systems and software, particularly automotive service management software•Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment•Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills•Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively•Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsEEOC Statement:Classic Ford - Smithfield is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
