**Ocean Export Quoting Specialist**
We are looking for a highly organized quoting specialist who has experience with FCL, LCL, and road freight. Additionally, someone who is versed in working with different software systems and is not afraid to pick up the phone and work with our vendors in a respectful manor. Can manage a high influx of email requests and efficiently prioritize daily tasks.
**Job Description**
* Responsible for coordinating the ocean export quoting, for current and new clients.
* Provide customer support to all vendors, suppliers, agents and government agencies to facilitate the export while ensuring export compliance.
* Timely preparation of all required quotes. 4 hour maximum, unless a D incoterm.
* Working with current vendors on keeping pricing low.
* Also create new relationships with vendors/carriers to reduce costs.
* Issue statistical or detailed reporting for customers as requested.
+ Issue weekly, Internal statistical quote log for win/loss/follow up
* Data entry of quotes in CargoWise (software system)
* Follow up on quotes on specific customers, or customers that benchmark to secure freight.
* Keep margins within the parameters set for customers and agents alike.
* Communicate with the customer regarding shipment requirements, country requirements and status updates. (including Letter of credits, wood packing material, stink bug, etc)
* File FMC sold rates via Cargo Sphere, as assigned by the operations team.
+ Follow up with operations team members when tasks are not filled out properly.
* Data entry of carrier Full load contracts, within Cargo Sphere.
**Job Qualifications**
* Knowledge of general freight forwarding terms and standards including Incoterm and country specific requirements.
* Basic knowledge of accounting functions and relative information retrieval.
* Basic knowledge of Export process including denied parties, ECCN numbers, AES filing
* Knowledge of cargo insurance
**General Requirements**
* Knowledge of Microsoft office suite. Basic working knowledge of excel.
* Desk management

organization & management of emails.
* Attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Team player.
* Good oral and written communication
* Ability to work independently and manage desk to defined service levels.
* Communicate with manager when unable to meet service levels.
* Problem solving skills.
