Cardiac Stress Test RN

ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities:Direct assessments, evaluation and monitoring for all patients undergoing any cardiac stress testing in the Cardiac Diagnostic Stress area.Collects patient history and physical review to include current medication records and potential contraindications to testing ordered, based on protocols.Conducting appropriate patient interviews.Assuring informed consent and obtaining all necessary patient signatures.Monitors the patient throughout the test and in recovery as needed.Ability to work independently in an advanced setting.Assists physician in providing diagnostic services to patients in the Cardiac Stress Lab.Compiles preliminary report and enters into stress system. Communicates with covering Cardiologist as appropriate for significant resultsProficient in clinical systems and data entry.Performs all other related duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years critical care experience working as an RN preferred.Additional minimum two (2) years of RN clinical nursing experience preferred.Graduate of an accredited school of nursing school and is licensed in the state of INBachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAdvanced life support certification (ACLS)
