Role Description:
We are looking for a skilled Certified Genetic Counselor to join our growing perinatal practice and assist with coverage of our Albuquerque and Rio Rancho locations. The role is full-time and in-person, five days per week, and involves working closely with our Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians to perform outpatient consults in an environment where you receive a wealth of support and education.

Qualifications
Applicants must have a degree in genetic counseling from an ABGC accredited genetic counseling graduate program and must be board certified or board eligible by the ABGC or ABMG. New Mexico state GC licensure must also be obtained.

Applicants should be comfortable with counseling patients about numerous prenatal and preconception indications, collaborating with the perinatologists to form differential diagnoses based on abnormal ultrasound findings, discussing and ordering appropriate prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic tests, and communicating results to patients. Applicants should be able to work independently but also enjoy working as part of a larger team of professionals including our current genetic counselors, advanced practice providers, and MFM physicians.
