Job Title: Registered Vascular Technologist

Location: Grandview Medical Center, Birmingham, AL

Job Type: Full time, 7 on / 7 off

Job Summary:

As a Registered Vascular Technologist at Grandview Medical Center, you will work independently under indirect supervision, adhering to established policies and procedures. In this role, you will perform routine vascular duplex ultrasound examinations and provide preliminary interpretations of studies. The scope of examinations includes but is not limited to peripheral venous and arterial exams, extra cranial cerebrovascular exams, visceral and renal vascular exams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine vascular duplex ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Provide preliminary interpretation of studies performed.
  • Conduct examinations such as peripheral venous and arterial exams, extra cranial cerebrovascular exams, visceral and renal vascular exams.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in peripheral venous and arterial exams, as well as carotid duplex exams.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an AMA approved program of Vascular Technology, Vascular Sonographer, or Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
  • Alternatively, completion of 62 semester hours of credit from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience as required for registry in vascular technology/sonography by either the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographer or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • Ability to qualify for examination as a Registered Vascular Technologist/Vascular Sonographer by either the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing
