Job Summary:The Activities Director performs duties involving the planning and implementation of an activity program which meets physical, mental and psychosocial needs and interests of residents. Duties and Responsibilities:Comply with the Community's personnel, safety, and corporate policies and proceduresReport witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Executive Director, RCC or Unit ManagerTreat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with respect and dignityMaintain the confidentiality of all resident and family informationReport to work on time and as scheduledResponsible for planning and implementing activities to meet resident's specific needs, including large groups, small groups and individual participationMaintain documentation as required by State and Federal regulationsResponsible for input on Minimum Data Set, participation in plan of care and other assessments and updatesResponsible for delivering the residents mail, newsletters and other Community informationCoordinated recruitment, retention and involvement of volunteers with residentsCoordinate community involvement in the CommunityPlan staff functions and activities to increase staff moraleMonitors personal and staff compliance to all State and Federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous material and fire safetyHelp coordinate restorative programs that enhance the residents' lives and allows them to reach their highest practical level of physical and psycho-social well-beingJob Requirements:Regular worksite attendanceMust have basic computer skillsIf required to operate a motor vehicle for business purposes, must successfully complete the requirements contained in Company's Motor Vehicles policyMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessaryMust be able to assist in the evacuation of residentsduring emergency situationsMust be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodationEmployeeis required to use a transfer/gait belt or to obtain the assistance of anotheremployee when attempting to assist residentswhen lifting or carrying objects in excess of 25 pounds. The employee must be aware that during the normal, routine performance of the essential functions,some of the following body movements may occur naturally, although they may notbe a requirement of the job
