Production Inventory Planning Analyst

**Job Description**
Responsible for creating and managing production plans and schedules to meet sales requirements generated by customer orders and sales forecasts. Provide realistic schedule and purchasing requirements and assist in improving the entire planning process with use of XRM tools and other scheduling tools.
**Job Responsibilities:**
**Essential Job Functions:**
* Reviewing, establishing and monitoring the production schedules to achieve customer requirements.
* Validate the XRM output within the system prior to releasing the project plan to the production floor.
* Work with purchasing to ensure the on-time procurement of materials align with schedules.
* Identify and resolve conflicts with respect to materials and capacity availability.
* Assists Manufacturing Resource Planning Manager with scheduling priorities in manufacturing, also working with the skill set leaders.
* Schedule and attend 2-3 times weekly production scheduling meetings to provide updates on the status of various projects and follow up on any issues from these meetings.
* Interact with Sales/Product Management to provide order status, estimated delivery dates and feedback on actual delivery dates.
* Develop appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with production scheduling practices.
* Develop and maintain monthly item forecasts and component safety stock levels for items.
* Perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement in planning processes and act as an internal educator on scheduling methods and systems with XRM.
* Entering Bills of materials onto projects with proper routing sequences.
* Working extensively with XRM to create projects, NCRs, rework projects, project closings and ECR approvals and new requests.
* Monitor and track the On Time Delivery and post as a manufacturing metric, also other pertinent metrics should be tracked and posted.
* Monitor RMAs and issue and schedule projects accordingly including Engineering Tests, Rework, Tooling and other miscellaneous projects.
**Non-essential Job Functions:**
* Other product line expedites, delivery, scheduling, parts discrepancies as assigned.
* May be required to assist with project deliveries and material handling to the manufacturing floor and in resolving part issue discrepancies.
* Other projects as assigned
* XRM Time entry closure for projects needing to be closed.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:** Assist Manufacturing Resource Planning Manager with production scheduling priorities of employees.
**Qualification Requirements:**
A Minimum of 3 years experience as scheduler and planner in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 2 years formal education in Business, Operations or Material Management. Desirable to also have other certificate type courses in Materials planning, management or supply chain. Working knowledge of various manufacturing principles and good knowledge drilling down into bills of materials. CPIM is a definite advantage. Ability to work in fast passed environment with minimal direct supervision. Excellent skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Highly motivated individual who demonstrates strong desire to learn and works very well independently and as a team. This person must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and be familiar with the requirements needed in a manufacturing environment. XRM system experience a definite plus or some other type of ERP,MRP, etc system.
**Working Environment**: Office and manufacturing environment in an air conditioned and a well-lit area.
