As a Software Engineer at Auterion, you will work across Auterions full technology stack, and will focus on implementing it in new systems, and further developing it for our government customers.  You will interface with our core engineering teams, program management, and sales teams, as well as work directly with our government customers.  

One day you will be doing an integration on a new robotic system, another day you will be using your understanding of government customer requirements to develop and test a new feature alongside the core engineering teams. You will also focus on driving a coherent system architecture across the government and enterprise sides of the business. As required, you may lead a technical demo of our products to our government customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop new applications and enhance existing software (embedded systems and ground control software)
  • Work with the broader engineering and program management teams to define and implement customer requirements. 
  • Become a subject-matter-expert on Auterion hardware and software, including PX4, AuterionOS, Auterion Mission Control, and Auterion Suite. 
  • Use this in-depth knowledge of our solutions to answer technical questions in both sales and support contexts.
  • Assist with customer demos when they are technically complex or involve new technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in software development
  • Proficient in C/C++ development on Linux platforms
  • Working knowledge of L2/L3 computer networking principles
  • Experience writing modular software using modern design practices
  • Detail oriented with great technical documentation and communication skills
  • Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker
  • US Citizen and are eligible to receive a SECRET or above security clearance

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cross-platform development, using Qt and QML
  • Experience with Android application development
  • Experience working on robotics projects, particularly in UAS
  • Knowledge of ATAK or other government-focused software
