The Quality Coordinator assists the leadership team in evaluating, planning, implementing the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program and structuring learning experiences as a part of the improvement process.
Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities
Nursing
- Monitor care processes and systems as assigned (i.e. MARs, 24hr book, Alert Charting system).
- Monitor weight report for timely completion, necessary re-weighs and identify those residents with weight gains/losses that require assessment and intervention.
- Report audit findings to RCC/DON daily and as needed.
- Maintain tracking systems for side rails and safety devices.
- Initiate data entry of resident chart in Service Minder.
- Create and maintain Service Plan in collaboration with assessing nurse.
- Participate in service plan management in conjunction with nursing.
- Gather data and document minutes for Quality Council meetings.
- Perform, reconcile and submit end of the month billing from Service Minder to Business Office Manager.
- Maintain schedule of care conferences according to standards.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility. Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the subject field. Evidence of proficiency in Instructional methodology strong interpersonal communication skills.
Licensing/Certifications
Must possess a Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
