Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced paramedic manager to be a member of our team of healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibility is to prepare all site schedules for your paramedic team, inventory control, department budget, prepare patients for their examinations and monitor for potential reactions. You must be able to work in a fast- paced environment. To be successful in this role you must be committed to providing the best patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities
· All site shift schedules , Order inventory for all sites per location, cover sites as needed.
Preparing patients for exams. Assure patients are appropriately prepared and in sub waiting rooms for exams.
· Prepare and monitor patients that present for ESI injections, Myelograms and Arthrograms.
· Assist patients in testing areas as needed.
· Establishing appropriate IV access for contrasted studies or procedures. Testing creatinine as indicated.
· Monitoring contrasted patients for allergic reactions.
· Monitoring post procedure patients.
· Provide emergency medical treatment as needed.
· Administering oral sedatives as indicated.
· Maintain changing areas to ensure that there are enough gowns, shorts and socks. Maintain changing rooms. Empty linen bags and trash as needed.
· Maintain stock room. Taking inventory, monitoring medication expiration dates and ensuring needed supplies are ordered. Assuring received supplies are placed in appropriate areas of stock room.
· Monthly equipment and drug expiration checks.
· Ensuring that the building is prepared for the next shift.
Requirements
