Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Answer telephones promptly in a clear, courteous manner, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate individual or department.

2. Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable. Ensures all information is correct and legible, indicating the caller's first and last name, company name if applicable, the time, and the message the caller wishes to leave.

3. Able to page for waiting calls in a clear, pleasant manner.

4. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.

5. Arrives at work dressed in appropriate, professional attire that is clean and pressed.

6. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, announces visitors to appropriate personnel, and directs customers to personnel at various locations throughout the dealership.

7. Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, retrieves and routes incoming faxes.

8. Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.

Requirements

  • Math, English reading and English communication skills sufficient to perform the job duties (approximately at 10th grade level).
  • Communicates directions and messages in English (at approximately 10th grade level).
  • Accurately read, transfer, and compare a series of "18" number and letter combinations.
  • Sits at phone system for extended periods.
  • Daily, timely attendance with overtime as assigned on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Able to work alone in confined/restricted area.
  • Accurately performs more than one task simultaneously.
  • Pushes keys to make connections and relay calls.
  • Works with more than one person and/or task simultaneously, maintaining a cordial and friendly manner at all times without internalizing frustration, anger or pressure.
  • Ability to stay on task in order to insure timely and accurate completion of duties.
  • Ability to maintain good employee relations by acting courteously and amicably towards other co-workers.
