**The Position:**

We are currently seeking a dynamic Inventory/Material Specialist to join our team in San Diego.

The Inventory/Material Specialist is an integral part of CLIA laboratory operations and workflow. The primary responsibility will be managing stock and inventory and acting as a back-up for facilities/logistic support.

* Responsible for receiving and processing incoming inventory and non-inventory material.

* Securely and safely storing temperature sensitive materials in proper cold storage.

* Perform monthly and end-of-year cycle inventory counts of all high-priority components, analyze and correct inventory discrepancies.

* Determine laboratory usage rate of goods and develop par levels with primary and secondary preferred vendors for all reagents and consumables.

* Perform FIFO Inventory rotation and maintenance of commercially approved lots and quarantined material.

* Maintain detailed, accurate logs and inventory records to ensure effective inventory control; obtains Certificates of Analysis for all reagents and SDS when new chemicals are purchased.

* Maintain inventory management system that ensures adequate available material in-house and appropriately triggers re-ordering.

* Assist with creating domestic and international shipments.

* Help maintain a clean and organized office, storage and receiving areas.

* Receives/Reconciles in Netsuite; collaborates with Finance to reconcile discrepancies.

* Obtain quotes as needed, initiate purchase orders in Netsuite, order items directly from vendors as required for laboratory, general office and/or other departments.

* Perform other clerical duties or general errands as needed, such as filing, photocopying, collating, and shipping.

* Supports Facilities operation and logistics as needed.

* Perform all other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor.

* Compliant with company policies, procedures and Safety regulations.

**Who You Are:**

* Must possess a High school diploma or GED; Associates Degree or equivalent College Experience preferred.

* Experience in shipping/receiving is required.

* Experience in Excel.

* Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jaks) preferred .

* Experience in maintaining lab replenishment using the Kanban or other methodology.

* Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.

* Ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules.

* Ability to work independently in a team environment.
