An internationally recognized company specializing in the wholesale distribution of electronic

parts/communications

equipment is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner and Supply Chain Specialist to work at their San Diego, CA location

Direct-Hire with great benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Matching, Sick Leave, Paid Holiday, PTO, and etc.

Planner: $50K-$60K / year; Non-Exempt
Specialist: $65K-$75K / year; Exempt

Business-Level Japanese language ability is required

Requirements of the Japanese Bilingual

SCM Planner / Specialist

:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related is preferred

3+ years of procurement experience in a global scale

(ie: sourcing suppliers, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, negotiating rates, etc.)

Experience working in a steel / metal / resin processing industry or related

Bilingual ability in English and Japanese (Business-level) is required

Proficiency in Microsoft Suites

(Word/Excel/Outlook)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Have a strong passion to create new solutions in the supply chain processes

Specialist-level:

Must be able to attend virtual meetings with the HQ office in Japan

Must be able to travel to suppliers' sites and go on business trips frequently (once a week to Tijuana and Mexicali, and once every two months to the Central Mexico area (for one week)

Responsibilities of the Japanese Bilingual

SCM Planner:

Solution Development:

Identify opportunities to improve, develop and expand the global procurement scheme through the purchasing and supplying of raw materials (resin) and metal process

Communicate with business associates (customers, suppliers, logistics service providers) smoothly

Discuss and negotiate with the companys Business Division Team in Japan and Japanese suppliers

Procurement Operation Management:

Analyze customers needs and provide service to consolidate procurement functions

Control inventory and delivery, checking inventory and balance PO status

Negotiate with suppliers and customers

Cooperate with business associates (warehouse, logistics companies)

Control logistics and business process costs under business standards

Summarize monthly P&L and balance sheet figures for each account

Administrative:

Maintain the computer system and data pertaining to price, minimum order quantity, delivery lead time, and etc.

Ensure timely collection of A/R from customers, and invoices to suppliers, freight, and warehouse companies

Any other related duties as assigned
